Arlekinon Chora is a boutique winery located in the area of Thessaly, in central Greece, at the slopes of Mount Narthakio. Cultivation follows the organic principles and a low intervention philosophy from the vineyard to final vinification is crucial for the production of these very special wines. In Arlekinon Chora they choose to combine a variety like Assyrtiko with a very classic red one in order to come up a lighter more fruity version of the original red. This is why for maturation they use second or third use oak barrels in order to leave the fruit untouched. The final product is delicious. Assyrtiko brings in its dynamic acidity, freshness, attractive fruity character and minerality softening the tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon and creating a totally new experience.
