Award winning perfection in a bottle
Louroi Platia by Artemis Karamolegos Winery is an incredible wine that brings to mind an authentic Riesling with its finesse and total fruity character. The winery of Artemis Karamolegos has received countless awards from competitions all over the world and Louroi Platia has received a silver at Decanter. The precious Assyrtivo grapes come from a single vineyard in Pyrgos which is 150 years old. The vines are non irrigated and have been totally stressed by the islands weather conditions and provide very low yields but very concentrated fruit. The wine remains for 11 months in stainless steel tanks for fermentation and maturation and then for one year in the bottle where it ages beautifully. The result is a mind blowing experience. An impressive wine with full body, sharp acidity and superb aromas. If you decide to add it to your cellar you have to act early since production is very limited.

As classic Santorini as it gets
Well this is not an ordinary wine from Hatzidakis Winery, not just in terms of its superb quality but about the timing and the changes that are taking place today in the winery. The family of Haridimos Hadzidakis, owner of the winery who is no longer with us, is stepping forward to take a fully active role and presents a wine which incorporates everything he used to stand for. Ungrafted vines, indigenous yeasts, harvest by hand, very concentrated fruit, totally unfiltered wines. From cultivation to vinification the road is paved with the legacy of the late owner. The must ferments only with indigenous yeasts and matures for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and is bottled unfiltered. The result is impressive. A wine that is as classic Santorini as it gets, full of the traditions and dreams of local people which they have preserved for centuries.

Arlekinon Chora Red is red wine from Cabernet Sauvignion and Assyrtiko, a very surprising combination that most of us have never heard before. Arlekinon Chora is a boutique winery located in the area of Thessaly, in central Greece, at the slopes of Mount Narthakio. Cultivation follows the organic principles and a low intervention philosophy from the vineyard to final vinification is crucial for the production of these very special wines. In Arlekinon Chora they choose to combine a variety like Assyrtiko with a very classic red one in order to come up a lighter more fruity version of the original red. This is why for maturation they use second or third use oak barrels in order to leave the fruit untouched. The final product is delicious. Assyrtiko brings in its dynamic acidity, freshness, attractive fruity character and minerality softening the tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon and creating a totally new experience.
