The precious Assyrtivo grapes come from a single vineyard in Pyrgos which is 150 years old. The vines are non irrigated and have been totally stressed by the islands weather conditions and provide very low yields but very concentrated fruit. The wine remains for 11 months in stainless steel tanks for fermentation and maturation and then for one year in the bottle where it ages beautifully. The result is a mind blowing experience. An impressive wine with full body, sharp acidity and superb aromas. If you decide to add it to your cellar you have to act early since production is very limited.
