CHARDONNAY - ADAM WINES
This fine Chardonnay wine comes from Adam, a village near Thessaloniki. Adam Winery is serious in its strategic choice of biological cultivation, low yield philosophy and very selective sorting of the fruit. No barrels are used in the process of vinification in order to retain intact the aromas of the variety. Instead light battonage is used with fine wine lees.

Aiora red from Moschopolis Winery is an enchanting red wine that you will have to try very hard not to like. The juicy red fruit, the subtle earthiness and the spicy character will win you over from the first sip! Initially, the blend consists of Mavrotragano, Xinomavro and Syrah, which initially ferment at controlled temperatures, in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then put into special clay amphorae from Crete and remains there for at least 2 months.
MERLOT - MPOUGIOURIS ESTATE
Mpougiouris brothers have a special bond with the French variety because it gives wines round and velvety. This was their purpose when they planted Merlot in their vineyards on the slopes of Kithaironas. Endless care at all stages, from viticulture to final bottling, has provided a wine that you should try hard not to love. The 12-month maturation in French oak barrels gave the finishing touches reaching the final goal: velvety tannins, ripe fruit coated with vanilla and butterscotch notes in a chocolatey dimension.

Dyo Ipsi, which in Greek means two heights, is a relatively new winery that was recently bought by wine perfectionists Vagelis Gerovassiliou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis of Vivlia Chora who brought in a new brand name and a new philosophy. Dialogos White by Dyo Ipsi Estate is a blend of two varieties, Assyrtiko and Kidonitsa, which beautifully complement each other adding complexity and a larger spectrum of interesting dimensions. The vineyards are located in the area of Ilia, in 2 slopes of different heights with different types of soil which offer perfect sun exposure and drainage for top quality wines. .Assyrtiko brings in its passionate dynamic character while Kidonitsa brings in a fruity softer persona. The blend has an air of freshness that is really attractive and totally satisfying.

Romeo and Juliet is an amazing combination of two varieties that you would not expect to see in the same blend. Constantin Gofas creates magic once again with a wine that is both classic and extraordinary in many ways. To make things more interesting, in this case our wine theater gives the role of Romeo to Chardonnay and the role of Juliet to Malagouzia. They are both cultivated in the Daphne region of Nemea with a low yield high concentration philosophy which offers top quality fruit and prepares for superb results long before the actual vinification process. The blend remains for 6 months in American oak barrels where it gains depth and a beautiful complexity, the result of the most sincere love affair between two lovers that bring their best to the blend. The color is lemon with golden hues with a nose filled with sensual aromas of butter and tobacco combined with peach, pear, citrus, toffee and vanilla. On the palate it offers a rich satisfying balanced acidity with a long nutty aftertaste.

Superb Nemea beyond anything you have tried

The imposing name of this fantastic wine, which means “the blood of the stone” has its own story, when drops of the precious Agiorgitiko painted the stones underneath with the most impressive purple color. Christos Aivalis runs Aivalis Winery in Traganes, a village at the less known part of Nemea, with real passion and an extraordinary vision for premium wines, that will fully express the heart and soul of the terroir. His son Sotiris, who has completed his studies in Beaune Burgundy, has brought his own personal style to the winery and La Sang De La Pierre is his own brain child in every way. Together they are producing the best Agiorgitiko in Nemea from a land that has received no irrigation or fertilization for more than 15 years. They are also using a method that comes from Burgundy according to which 5% from the grapes dry up in the vine, which further boosts concentration. Finally maturation takes place in French oak barrels for 14 months. Enjoy its deep purple colour and endless aromas of plum, sour cherry, cherry jam, blueberry, cassis which come with touches of wild strawberry jam, green pepper, cinnamon and vanilla.

Syrah brings its satisfying acidity, impressive tannins and playful peppery persona while Agiorgitiko its elegance and fruity character. Both varieties are cultivated with a low yield approach which offers fantastic concentration. Grapes come from old vineyards, without irrigation or fertilization for many years, where vines are forced to search deeper, within the body of mother earth, for precious nutrients necessary for their well-being. While Syrah and Agiorgitiko are vinified separately they come together for 30 months in French oak barrels, while the final aging potential of this superb wine is almost 10 years. The nose is dynamic, full of red and black fruit such as ripe cherry, sour cherry, raspberry, bilberry and cassis jam. The name of this exquisite wine brings to mind a mythical landscape, a picture not far from reality in many ways, since Asopos river flows next to the winery bringing the magic of ancient times to your glass. This very special blend of 85% Agiorgitiko and 15% Syrah comes from selected grapes grown at the Simarkou vineyard located at the village of Koutchi in Nemea. The cold extraction and low temperatures during vinification are partly responsible for the aromas and tastes that are contained in this wine while the well balanced acidity brings in a truly refreshing spirit. Konstantinos Gofas, is an expert in bringing out the best of the varieties he chooses to work with and he has proven more than once that he has mastered the art of creating premium wines. This attractive rose competes head on with many Greek and international rose wines and is very a satisfying choice for those we appreciate good wine.

To make premium wines is obviously both a special art and a very demanding science and there are always a few amazing people who will put every possible effort into this goal. For Apocalypsis 2014 Christos Barafakas, went a long way with experimentation. It took him 10 years to rediscover Agiorgitiko and finally he came up with something super unique, since the result justifies the name of this great wine. In order to bring out the best of Agiorgitiko he decided he had to select only the best vineyards in Nemea and this is exactly what he did. With very special care during the process of vinification the precious fruit remains in French oak barrels for 12 months and gains finesses and complexity. Apocalypsis 2014 is an extraordinary Nemea with perfect balance between fruit and spice, a very fulfilling original expression of what it is supposed to be.
The colour is medium purple, the body has medium-volume with an attractive oily texture and mild very satisfying tannins.
