Xinomavro Akrathos Newlands Winery is a new approach to Xinomavro that we love. The winery was launched in 2008 in the area of Halkidiki not far from Greece’s number two city, Thessaloniki. The vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level and offer ideal conditions for the cultivation of Xinomavro and for creating premium wines. The must matures in French oak barrels for 12 months and the result is excellent. A new Xinomavro more fruity then you would expect, with softer tannins, an earthy character and crispy acidity.
