Vinsanto by Artemis Karamolegos Winery, one of the oldest and most famous wineries of Santorini, is an iconic complex sweet wine which comes from a mix of Assyrtiko (85%) and local Aidani (15%) that ages gracefully for 7 to 8 years. To create Vinsanto, grapes are sundried for 10-14 days under the sun where they become dehydrated and provide their concentrated sugars. Then the juice ferments in stainless steel tanks and followed by maturation in big old French barrels for a number of years. Taste this wine and your memories of Santorini will remain with you forever.
