About the winery
Domaine Troupis is located within the magic plateau of Mantinia, which lies in Arcadia the mountenous north part of the Peloponesse, at an altitude of 700 meters near the area of Fteri. Troupis family has a long history of working with the land and cultivating vines and fruit baring trees dating back to the ’70s. While for years they have been producing small quantities for their own consumption their passion turned profession led them into creating a modern winery producing an amazing version of the local Moschofilero grape variety which is the driving force in this important PDO zone. Tasos Troupis with the help of his children has brought forward a new generation of wines that gives a new definition to the characteristics of this amazing terroir. The well drained rocky clay soil combined with the Mantinia microclimate provide the basic resources for the domaine’s aromatic white wines. Domaine Troupis gets its Agiorgitiko grapes from the nearby Nemea and creates its own fully aging reds.
