Artemis Karamolegos Winery in Santorini needs no introductions, since it is one of the oldest and most famous wineries on the island. Ftelos Santorini is a single vineyard wine which is here to make history due to its exceptional quality and due to the fact that it is probably the most dynamic expression of this impressive terroir. The grapes come from Ftelios, a vineyard in Fyra with 150 years old vines, where no irrigation or fertilizers have ever been used. These vines are able to produce only very small quantities per acre so the final product is beautifully concentrated The precious fruit ferments for 24 months in stainless still tanks and then matures in oak casks for 2 more months in order to built complexity.
