About the winery
Arlekinon Chora, the winery with the unusual but very creative name, which takes us back to the protagonists of the famous Comedia del’ Arte, lies at the foot of Mount Narthakio in the region of Thessaly – Central Greece. The privately owned non-irrigated vineyards are located at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level with an inclination that offers phenolic maturity and perfect drainage. They are cultivated according to the principles of organic cultivation and have been certified as such since 2003. With a low yield of 500 kgrs per acre, very limited interventions in the vineyard and a wine making process that respects the grape and the characteristics of the terroir Arlekinon Chora produces an impressive range of wines. It is no surprise that they have received distinctions in some of the most prestigious global wine competitions such as Decanter and Berliner wine trophy and with these credentials the winery is already exporting a substantial part of its production abroad.
